With the beginning of the Reiwa era, a new town, “Minami-Machida Grandberry Park,” was created in Minami-Machida. As a part of an integral redevelopment project under public-private partnership, the station, Tsuruma Park and commercial facilities were redeveloped to become a town fusing nature and liveliness.
Also, Minami-Machida has a route following Japan’s first modern waterworks system “Suido-michi,” which runs through Tsuruma Park.
