■Features of the Higashi-ueno Area
In the past, a famous Japanese manzai comedy saying, "Chikatetsu wa doko kara ireta no deshouka? Kangaeru to yoru mo nerarenai (How did the subway trains get down there? The thought keeps me up at night)" was once popular. There is a crossing and depot for the Ginza Line in Higashi-ueno, so visitors can see the subway trains running above ground.

■Features of the Yanaka Area
Visit the Shichifukujin (Seven Lucky Gods) at New Years, see the Yanaka Cemetery cherry blossoms in the spring, and enjoy the chrysanthemum festival in the fall. Climb the Sanzaki-zaka hill and enjoy the view of the Tokyo Skytree. The area features many hills and many one-way streets, but is full of things to see.
