A course to visit the Hachioji Seven Gods of Good Fortune

Route Description

Nishi-Hachioji Sta.→Sokakuin Temple→Kichijoin Temple→Ryohoji Temple→Zenryuji Temple→Shinshoin Temple→Kongoin Temple→Denpoin Temple→Honryuji Temple→JR Hachioji Sta. South Exit→Keio Hachioji Sta.
You can enjoy this course either in the sequence outlined above or in the reverse order from goal to start.

The tour of the Hachioji Seven Gods of Good Fortune taking in eight temples that are associated with "Hachi" (eight), which was taken from the part of the name of Hachioji as well as the shape of "Hachi" in the Japanese character(八), which means good luck spreading out toward the end. The first ten days of the new year sees events held which traditionally gathered the official seal of the shogun while taking in the Seven Gods of Good Fortune in each temple.

* The time, calorie consumption, and number of steps for each walking course were calculated using a speed of 4 km/h, walking 10 minutes = 30 kcal, one step = 70 cm and a body weight of 60 kg.
