Citrus fruits and bananas grown overseas take time to arrive in Japan because they are imported by ship. Mold can occur during the long transportation and storage period, so anti-mold agents are used to prevent it.
The use of anti-mold agents makes it possible to preserve the quality of imported citrus and other fruits.
