Ipomoea (Convolvulaceae)

Originating in Asia, cultivated for gardening in all regions. Red, purple, white, etc. flowers bloom early in the morning and wither by afternoon. Fruit is round shaped, divided into three capsules with seeds inside.

Symptoms Abdominal pain, diarrhea.
Venomous constituents Seed contains a glycoside called pharbitin.
